SubLevel Four Kenpo™

Dr. Ron Chapél is the Martial Science University’s International Director and the worlds foremost authority on Advanced American Kenpo Concepts and SubLevel Four Kenpo™ . He is the Head of the Martial Science University and Senior Master Professor of the SL4 College. As a First Generation Black Belt Student under Ed Parker, Sr., he was awarded his 7th degree Black Belt. Since Parker’s passing, Chapél has been awarded his 8th, 9th, and 10th degree rankings by American Teachers Association of the Martial Arts (ATAMA).

With a strong desire to maintain a base system as a point of reference, Dr. Chapél has continuously shown his teachings and interpretations to be insightful, highly effective and very practical. He proves that American Kenpo is a very dynamic, highly functional art, even with the passing of its Creator and one and only Grand Master, Ed Parker, Sr., and freely gives all the credit to Ed Parker for his knowledge.

Sensei Asa Seeley

Kyusho, Kung Fu

Sensei Seeley holds 4th degree black belt in Ryukyu Kempo, a 5th degree black belt in Kyusho Jitsu, and he is a  Kyusho International  member and a  Senior Certifying Instructor Level 5  in pressure points.  He also holds a black sash in  Wah Lum Gung fu .  He is founder and chief operator of  American School Kara-te  in North Andover, Massachusetts. He has over 30 years of martial arts experience and has taught all over the world.  Sensei Seeley is a certified defensive tactics instructor for  Force Options Tactical Training Solutions  of Phoenix, Arizona.  He was awarded Ambassador of the Year Award 2007 by Kyusho International and has appeared in many International magazine articles, DVD’s, and books with his teacher, Shihan Evan Pantazi, and with many other Grand Masters.

Sensei Seeley always reminds his students to, “Remain open minded, consistent in practice, dedicated to self improvement and enjoy the journey.”  He believes by using ancient techniques in martial arts, we can condition our body, mind and spirit far greater than in any other form of exercise.

Sensei Niko Huffman

Martial Tactics for Group Situations

Sensei Niko Huffman is a lifetime student of Budo, and is a firm believer in Bruce Lee’s philosophy of “Using no way as way, using no limitation as limitation – absorb what is useful, and reject what is useless for you”.  He began studying Shorinji-Ryu Karate and Kobudo at the age of ten, achieving the rank of Shodan at the age of sixteen, and teaching as an assistant instructor for several years.  After college, Niko traveled extensively for business, studying whatever arts were available wherever his travels took him, including Boxing, Kickboxing, Aikido, and Shotokan Karate.  After settling in Arizona in 2001, Niko studied Aikido exclusively for some time, achieving a rank of Nidan in 2009.  Niko currently studies primarily Kickboxing, Kyusho and Systema.  He is a member of the Independent Aikido Alliance and Kyusho International, and is an Instructor-in-Training in Systema under Vladimir Vasiliev.

Sensei Chad Siebert

Systema

Chad Seibert has been training in the Martial Arts for 10 years and was recently promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt in RyuKyu Kempo and is a senior student under Grandmaster Gary Rooks. Chad also holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Maududo and during college founded the Miami University Self Defense Club. He has trained extensively in Kyusho since 1997 and has also studied tactical shooting as well beginning training in the Russian Martial Art of Systema in 2004. Additionally, Chad has also studied several healing and spiritual modalities in order to improve the mind-body-spirit connection and complement his Martial Arts.

Sensei Shawn Steiner

Shaolin Kempo Karate

Sensei Steiner is a 5th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate. Sensei Steiner has over 15 years of martial arts experience.  He is Owner and Chief Instructor at Steiner Academy of Martial Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.  He is the local Kyusho International representative and is a Certifying Instructor Level 3 in pressure points. He is also a senior instructor with Force Options Tactical Training Solutions of Phoenix, Arizona.

Sensei Steiner is a dedicated and multifaceted martial artist and teacher with an incredible passion to not only develop his students, but to expand his own knowledge and understanding in martial arts as a whole, how it functions as a form of self-defense, and how it is interpreted in different ways.

Sensei Derek Stewart

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu

With over 20 years of martial arts experience, Sensei Derek Stewart is arguably the best the Heartland has to offer.  Sensei Derek Stewart is a 4th Degree Black Belt through the Otomi Martial Arts, a 3rd degree black belt in Kihido Karate, a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Sanuces Ryu Jiu-Jitsu under former world champion Shihan Daryl Johnson, and certified instructor in the progressive fighting arts.

In addition to all of Sensei Derek’s martial arts achievements he is the first 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Brown belt in Nebraska promoted under the creator of the 10th Planet system, the legendary Eddie Bravo.  Ever the student, he is currently continuing his study of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, Kickboxing, and more.  Derek’s talent and passion for teaching are evidenced by his deepening pool of successful jiu jitsu practitioners and fighters under his tutelage.

 

 

 

Sensei Jason Graham

Aikido

Jason Graham Sensei is the Chief Instructor of Aikido at Ishizue Dojo under the Independent Aikido Alliance (IAA) founded by Gary Boaz Sensei.  Currently holding the rank of Shodan, he has been training under Boaz Sensei since May of 2007.  Mr. Graham has been participating in Budo Camp for the last four years, actively utilizing its lessons in his dojo.   Graham Sensei and Ishizue Dojo continue to follow the spirit of Budo set forth by Boaz Sensei.

Graham Sensei also informally trains in other forms of martial arts, such as  Systema, Indonesian Silat, boxing, Tai Chi, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and pressure point combatives in order to augment his Aikido training.  He also participates in tactical firearms training taking part in the KTAC and KTAC II classes annually.  This helps him maintain a combat mindset in a civilian environment.

The elements of Mr. Graham’s training come together to form a modern Budo that can be utilized in today’s society.  While maintaining a reality based self defense system, he enjoys the traditions that accompany Aikido and their connection with the Samurai philosphy.
